My five-step branding process takes your brand from an early idea to a clear strategy, distinct visual identity, and practical system your business can actually use.
A strong brand can’t be built on assumptions. We begin with a two-to-three-hour workshop covering who you are, what you do, why it matters, and what you want the brand to accomplish.
Together, we examine your audience, market, competitors, business goals, challenges, and overall vision. This gives us the foundation needed to make informed decisions throughout the rest of the process.
Next, we sift through everything uncovered during the Study phase and determine where the brand is going—and the position it should own in the market.
This includes defining your differentiation, messaging framework, brand values, personality, audience priorities, and the central strategic idea that will guide the brand.
With the strategy in place, we explore different ways the brand could communicate visually.
You’ll be presented with three Flashboards: focused creative directions featuring typography, color, imagery, logo references, and other visual inspiration. Together, we’ll discuss the possibilities and select the direction that feels most distinctive and aligned with the strategy.
Once the creative direction is approved, we begin building the visual identity.
This includes sketching and developing the logo, testing typography and layouts, refining the color palette, and creating the supporting graphic elements that make the brand feel complete and recognizable.
A brand isn’t finished when the logo is approved. It needs to work consistently everywhere people interact with the business.
During this phase, we apply the identity to the agreed-upon touch-points, which may include your website, sales presentations, social media graphics, print materials, packaging, and other important brand applications.
